Crypto exchange ranking 2026 — MiCA-licensed exchanges only

Updated: 18.10.2026 · Author: Daniel Borzym, attorney-at-law (radca prawny)

Since 1 July 2026 crypto exchanges may legally serve clients in Poland only under a MiCA (CASP) authorisation issued in an EU member state. For users in Poland the most convenient are exchanges that let you hold and withdraw zloty: Revolut X and Bitpanda. Bybit EU accepts PLN and BLIK with low fees, while OKX, Crypto.com, Coinbase and Kraken work mainly in euro. Binance and Bitget have no MiCA licence and are not listed.

Risk: crypto-assets are highly volatile and you can lose all the money you invest. They are not covered by deposit guarantees or investor compensation schemes. This material is informational and promotional and is not investment advice or a recommendation.

How we ranked

  1. MiCA (CASP) licence in an EU state — a condition for being listed. Without it an exchange cannot legally serve clients in Poland.
  2. Ability to hold and withdraw PLN — without it you lose on FX conversion to euro with every deposit and withdrawal.
  3. Base-tier taker fee — what most people pay when buying at market price.
  4. BLIK and a Polish interface — convenience for beginners.

Each exchange in brief

1. Revolut X — The exchange inside the Revolut app: the lowest fees here (0% maker, 0.09% taker) and a zloty balance. Requires a Revolut account; card purchases go through an account top-up, not the exchange itself. Go to exchange →

2. Bitpanda — Austrian broker with full PLN support (deposit and withdrawal) and a Polish interface. Simple for beginners; trading mainly on euro markets. Go to exchange →

3. Bybit EU — Accepts PLN by bank transfer and BLIK (BLIK: 0.9% + PLN 0.50) and has PLN trading pairs (BTC, ETH, SOL, USDC). Low fees, but PLN withdrawal is not available and there is no Polish interface. Go to exchange →

4. OKX Europe — Polish interface and BLIK purchases, fees 0.20% / 0.35%. No PLN balance — settlement in euro. Go to exchange →

5. Crypto.com — Polish interface, fees 0.25% / 0.50%. Deposits mainly in euro (SEPA); card purchases are expensive (up to 4%). Go to exchange →

6. Coinbase — One of the best-known exchanges, Polish interface and BLIK. Higher spot fees (0.40% / 0.60%), no PLN balance. Go to exchange →

7. Kraken — Established exchange with a Polish interface, but since July 2026 with a high entry taker fee (0.80%) and deposits mainly in euro. Go to exchange →

Other MiCA-licensed exchanges

MiCA authorisation is also held by, among others, Bitstamp (LU, CSSF), Bitvavo (NL, AFM), Gemini (MT, MFSA), KuCoin (AT, FMA), Gate (MT, MFSA). We left them out of the table because we have not verified their PLN payment terms.

Why MiCA only — the legal situation in Poland

The MiCA regulation applies directly in all EU states. The transitional period for existing providers ended on 1 July 2026 — since then crypto-asset services may be provided only with a CASP authorisation.

Poland still has no national act implementing MiCA. The President vetoed the crypto-asset market act on 11 June 2026, and on 4 September 2026 the Sejm failed to override the veto (241 votes in favour, 266 needed). As a result there is no Polish authority issuing licences.

Clients in Poland can therefore be legally served by exchanges authorised in another EU state that have notified cross-border activity (the so-called passport). Check the status in the ESMA register by searching the company name, not the brand.

What is not in the ranking

Have funds on zondacrypto? An Estonian court declared BB Trade Estonia OÜ bankrupt (27.08.2026). Claims are filed directly with the trustee (Margus Lentsius, e-mail haldur@lentsius.ee) in English or Estonian — the deadline is 27 October 2026, 23:00 Polish time. A report to the Polish prosecutor does not replace filing a claim.

FAQ

Which crypto exchange is best for users in Poland in 2026?

By our criteria: Revolut X (lowest fees and a PLN balance) and Bitpanda (full PLN support and a Polish interface). For those who want BLIK and PLN trading pairs, Bybit EU is worth a look. All of them are MiCA-authorised.

Is Binance legal in Poland in 2026?

Binance has no MiCA authorisation. Since 1 July 2026, when the transitional period ended, exchanges without it cannot legally provide services to EU clients, and Binance's service for EEA users is restricted.

Is money on a crypto exchange protected like in a bank?

No. Crypto-assets are not covered by the Polish Bank Guarantee Fund. MiCA only requires an exchange to keep client assets separate from its own (art. 70 MiCA).

How do I check whether an exchange has a MiCA licence?

In the ESMA interim MiCA register, search for the company name, e.g. Bybit EU GmbH or Coinbase Luxembourg S.A. You will see the state and authority that issued the authorisation and the states where activity was notified.
